"Likewise" se utiliza para indicar que algo es similar o de la misma manera que lo mencionado anteriormente. Por ejemplo, si alguien dice "Me gusta estudiar idiomas", puedes responder con "Likewise" para expresar que a ti también te gusta estudiar idiomas.
"Otherwise" se utiliza para señalar una alternativa o situación diferente a la mencionada anteriormente. Por ejemplo, si alguien dice "Voy a estudiar para el examen, de lo contrario no sacaré buenas notas", aquí "otherwise" indica la consecuencia negativa si no se estudia.
EJEMPLOS:
**Likewise:**
1. She enjoys reading mystery novels, and I **likewise** find them intriguing.
2. My friend is excited about the upcoming science fair, and I am **likewise** looking forward to showcasing our project.
3. Juan has a passion for astronomy, and his sister Maria **likewise** shares an interest in exploring the night sky.
4. We value open communication in our team, and we expect our colleagues to communicate **likewise**.
5. The teacher praised Mark for his dedication to learning, and he encouraged the other students to work **likewise**.
**Otherwise:**
1. Study for the exam, **otherwise** you may struggle to understand the material in time.
2. Pay the bill today, **otherwise** they might disconnect the electricity service.
3. Eat nutritious foods, **otherwise** your health could be compromised in the long run.
4. Follow the game rules, **otherwise** you might face penalties for unsportsmanlike behavior.
5. Back up your important files, **otherwise** you could lose data in case of a system failure.
