The first manga, Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin was released in 1983, and since then it gained a relatively big fan base around the world, especially in Finland, where even creator himself visited. In 1986 Toei Animation published the anime for Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin, which became a masterpiece, and got dubbed in many countries.
Its sequel, Ginga Densetsu Weed got released in 1999 as manga, and later in 2005 as anime by Studio Deen. In this story we can follow through the adventures of Gin's son.
The next sequel was Ginga Densetsu Weed: Orion, where Weed's son is the main character. The manga got published in 2009, and it didn't get an anime adaptation.
In 2015 the manga Ginga: The Last Wars started it's run, where a bear, Monsoon disturbs the peace of Ouu.
Ginga Densetsu Noah was running 2019-2022.
