I just released the first video of my new series - π±π Paludarium Tank!
ππ»Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/e0RraEZxPi8
It is way more detailed than my usual videos and should provide a deep dive into soil composition, pump setup, and various ways to save some money while setting up a paludarium.
This whole setup cost around 45β¬ or 50 US$.
So far, I have only added bladder snails.
Enjoy New Year's Eve!

Which plant do you think is more likely to survive (or even thrive) in the ecosystem jar, which i use to cultivate scuds π¦ ?

ποΈ New paludarium is under construction π§
Welcome to all the followers of this channel who have been following my tanks for the last two months, and also to the people who have recently decided to follow this YouTube channel. Thanks so much for subscribing π
The picture shows my latest scape - it's the first time I've tried a paludarium-style ecosystem. Some bladder snails and springtails are already in there, as well as some moss and other plants in the land area.
I made a big mistake when I set up this scape today. I put all the rocks on a relatively soft sandy bottom, when I added water it all imploded. Tomorrow I'm going to the river to collect some more rocks and hardscape, which should ensure we have a 50:50 land:water split.
I can't wait to add more species to this scape. What should I add? ππ±π¦
Please post your suggestions in the comments.
Enjoy your Sunday evening & greetings from southern Germany

Yesterday I went for a Christmas walk with my fiancΓ©e, my mother and our boxer dog in the Rhine meadows. It was beautiful (almost 0 degrees Celsius /32 Fahrenheit).
I also collected some moss for the next ecosystem. Can't wait to start work on the next aquarium.
Greetings from Southern Germany π

Setting up a new 14 gallon / 54 L tank TOMORROW!
This time, I'm going for a full-on vivarium ecosystem, with a small, moss-covered land area and a tiny 'stream' where a small pump will cascade water over some moss-covered rocks.
Similar to my Neocaridina / Guppy tank, i will not add a filter or CO2 fertilization.
What nano tank animals would YOU add? And what plants should I include? (Spoiler: I'm definitely adding a small avocado tree! π₯)
Would love to hear your thoughts on my project!

Merry Christmas - Just in time for Christmas Eve the newest video dropped. Check it out here friends ππ» https://youtu.be/Sn7I09kaRko?si=p71EI...
A few weeks ago I asked the Community which species I should add next to the 100 species ecosystem aquarium. You voted for skuds at the time. Because I couldn't find any in any fish store or on the internet, I had to go searching in a local river (the Neckar) in freezing temperatures.
ππ»In the video I explain how I catch the animals and slowly adapt them to the aquarium.
Have a calm and peaceful Christmas Eve with your loved onesβ€οΈπ¦ππ±
