Born in Scarborough, Ontario and coming from Jamaican and West Indian backgrounds, Tevin Douglas- known as NINETYFOUR- was influenced by the heavy rhythmic reggae, dancehall and R&B from his upbringing. Realizing he had a natural instinct for music early on he began producing beats on an electric piano for his older brother to freestyle over. Finally coming to a place where he was comfortable and confident as an artist NINETYFOUR put together Itâs Yours; a narrative of the young singerâs life leading up to the projects release.
