Counterparts is the University of Pennsylvania's oldest all gender a cappella group. Founded in 1981 by a group of young jazz singers interested in making weird and funky harmonies, Counterparts (and all of our fancy alumni) have been singing jazz and pop music for over thirty years. We have an extensive repertoire that features jazz standards such as "Fever," "Route 66," and Etta James' "At Last," but that doesn't stop us from belting out that soul or singing, you know, what the KIDS are listening to.
