I am Aparna Bag, a professional Classical Dancer, born & brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and, currently residing in Franklin, Wisconsin, USA.
I received my initial dance training under the guidance of Shri Sadhan Guha, famous classical dancer, at the age of 4. I continued my learning under the guidance of Smt. Kashmira Samanta, disciple of Guru Dr. Thankamani Kutti, famous Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam dancer.
I have performed in 100+ prestigious dance festivals, stage & TV shows for 10+ yrs.
Apart from classical dance, I am also expert in Rabindra Nritya, Bollywood & Semi-classical. I started teaching classical dance in India, and, gradually moved into Bollywood, semi-classical & creatives to the different age groups in the USA.
I got Sangeet Sree Award (senior diploma with distinction) & Sangeet Bivakar Award (highest award presented to eminent artists for lifetime achievements in the field of performing arts) from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad.
