With Christmas just around the corner, I’ve been reflecting on past celebrations and came across an old photo that brought back so many memories. The one I’ve shared here is from Christmas Eve 1970 in Australia with my brother—yikes, what a throwback!
I still remember the excitement of Christmas Eve—the buzz in the air, the last-minute shopping (in London unless we were in Australia!), and picking up orders from the greengrocer, baker, and butcher with my mum and brother - no supermarket trips- yes I am that old! Then waiting for my dad to come home from work! Such happy, cherished days. 🎄✨

Hello, everyone. I’ve missed you all and hope you’re well! 🌹
I recently visited Diana Dors’ grave on what would have been her 93rd birthday, bringing some flowers to mark the day. It was a special moment that reminded me of why I love sharing these stories and memories with you. I was also greeted by the little chap in the photos (see if you can spot him in the first one!) – a cute robin that I was thrilled to capture in a photo before he flew away. He perched just behind the bench, watching as my friend and I prepared the roses for the rose dishes for both Diana and Alan.
Then, astonishingly, as we’d been there for hours and dusk was setting in, just as we were about to leave, the little robin returned – and this time, he gave us a song! The photo is a bit blurry since it was nearly dark, but it was such a beautiful, unexpected moment.
While I’m here, I also wanted to share that life has brought some unexpected challenges, both with my own health and within my family. I’ve had a lot of appointments to manage and more coming up, along with the difficult waiting for results, so things aren’t quite back to normal yet. But I’m gradually finding my way back to creating videos. I've missed working on new content and connecting with all of you, and I’m really looking forward to getting back to the channel.
Your lovely comments on my past videos have been a true comfort, and I appreciate every one of them. Although I may not be able to catch up with all the replies, I’ll read through as many as I can and respond when possible.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding – it truly means the world to me. I’m getting back to work on a video that I’d already started, and I hope it’ll be ready soon. I’ll keep you posted as I ease back into things, and I’m excited to start creating again. ❤️

I had an especially lovely day yesterday, visiting an absolute legend for my next video. I've been working on this one for a while, and I hope to have it uploaded by the end of this week! You all know how excited I get about the people I feature (I wouldn't do it if I didn't absolutely love them!), but this person truly holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait for you to re-meet them! 😉

I’m thrilled to share the great news that the Yootha Joyce video is back! 🎉 I can’t express how much your support has meant to me during this time. Your messages, comments, and encouragement have truly kept me going.
The last couple of months have been personally very challenging and filled with great sadness, making this a really difficult year for my family and myself. Creating videos has been a way for me to lose myself, even if just for a little while, and focus on something that truly absorbs me. Your support during these tough times has been a shining light, and I’m incredibly grateful for this community.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing by me. I’m excited to move forward and continue creating the content we all love. Your continued support makes it all worthwhile!

Good evening, everyone. You might have noticed that my Yootha Joyce video has disappeared once more. This is part of an ongoing issue with a fan of Yootha Joyce who has been harassing and threatening me, claiming that he owns the whole of my video.
The video’s content was entirely sourced from public materials, including newspaper and magazine articles, interviews with Yootha Joyce, and information from people who knew her—all of which are publicly available and fall under fair use and public domain.
Given the circumstances, I feel I must challenge this situation and will be pursuing this matter through legal channels.

Good Evening Everyone!!!! Guess what? I’m uploading a video tonight! I bet you wasn’t expecting that 🤣
Firstly, I need to apologise in advance - if you watch the video you’ll notice my voice is not in good shape (neither is the rest of me 🤪 but it’s my voice I’m most annoyed about!) I’m currently awaiting an appt with an ENT consultant as the Whooping Cough has damaged my vocal chords - I’ve been waiting for it to improve and to date - this is the best it’s got 😬
I made the video at the end of March but had to put it on hold because of being ill - It’s been so frustrating! I particularly love the subject of the video - who I think has been rather misunderstood in history 🤭
I hope you can bear with it, and it’s not too ‘chalk on blackboard’ for you - but if it is I’ll understand!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all able to make the most of this fab weather!
I had my first 'proper' outing at the weekend. In May I had ordered a floral tribute and had every intention of taking it to Diana Dors on the 40th anniversary of her death on the 4th May - but whooping cough and a hospital visit really scuppered that!
So, the first opportunity came this past Sunday to go a bit further than usual, of course I opted to visit Sunningdale!
Thank you to everyone who has commented on videos and sent me get well wishes, I can't tell you how much it has meant to me - I love and adore you all!

P.S. I gave the wilting violas a good drink (especially Alan’s pot) and it seems the Moles 🦫 (nearest emoji to a mole 12) have been busy too! 😬

**Update**
🎉 You are cordially invited to my pity party! 🎉 I’m feeling very sorry for myself, and here’s why...
I was super excited to upload the next video to the channel – one I’ve been wanting to do for ages. But, as you might know from my previous post, I got really sick. I was surprised because I was very ill last September and didn't expect to get hit again so soon. (I've not been 100% since a certain jab in 2021 - I'll say no more!)
So, here’s the story: My husband started with a dry, hoarse cough and was diagnosed with a chest infection. I thought I’d dodged it, but nope – soon, I was coughing like a seal. Off to the GP I went, and yep, I had a chest infection too. Cue antibiotics and steroids – not fun, especially with asthma, which I've had since I was a child.
After finishing the meds, things didn’t get better. In fact, my husband and I both got worse. On May 4th, I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe! 🚑 Another hospital visit, stronger antibiotics, and a new diagnosis: a throat infection. But things just kept getting worse. Every coughing fit left me breathless - completely unable to breathe and panicking for up to a minute at a time. More GP visits, more meds – they thought I had laryngospasms and GERD.
I promise I’m trying to keep this short, but it’s a saga! This week, my GP sent me to the hospital again, and I had an attack in the doctor’s office. They finally diagnosed me with Whooping Cough and laryngospasm. My vocal cords were spasming and closing my larynx, making it impossible to breathe. I also keep losing my voice intermittently.
Unfortunately, the antibiotics I took were too late to help, because I was misdiagnosed with a chest infection at first. So now, I’ve got to ride this out with no specific treatment. Whooping Cough is terrible at night – it wakes me up because I can’t breathe! 😱
That’s my tale of woe. I wanted to update you so you’d know what’s going on and why I haven’t uploaded anything. I will be back, but my doctor says this could last for another two months. I’m hoping the severity decreases soon – I’ve been dealing with chronic exhaustion and brain fog. This is the first time I’ve been able to put together a coherent sentence in ages, so fingers crossed that's a good sign. 🤞
If anyone else has experienced this, I’d love to hear from you. Tips and advice are most welcome!
