Second poll of the day. Would you watch no commentary Everquest content? I just do some straight gameplay, no commentary with minimal editing. I'd cut out the resting and whatnot. Maybe put in some lofi tunes or something.

I was writing the script for The Hero's Journey video, and I got off onto this massive rant about the gaming industry. I cut it out obviously. But... would you watch a video where I rant about the gaming industry? I'm just curious. It would feel nice to get it off my chest, but I don't want to spend time making it unless people are interested.

Project 1999 Episode 5 Part 4 is coming out today Friday May 9th at 5pm est. It's done. Just a warning, it's short, over 12 minutes long. Since I don't have the footage I'm mostly recalling things from memory. I hope it will be a satisfying conclusion to Episode 5.
I'm almost done recording Episode 6, I'm 2 bubs into level 52, when I reach level 53, I'm going to work on putting Episode 6 together. I hope you all enjoy. Things ended up happening in a different order than intended, but content is content.

Because doing anything on Project 1999 takes... forever. Especially recording videos for it in the higher levels. I'm also going to be playing on The Heroes Journey server recommended by Lanikin. I hear it's been popping off, so I'm going to work on a video for it too, since it's solo EQ I don't need anyone to play with.
The first video is going to be the staging ground. This is the following videos I have on the table:

Project 1999 Episode 5 Part 4 (Will be a shorter video to recap what I did and finish off episode 5 since the footage is not longer available).
Project 1999 Episode 5 - I'm going to edit all 4 episodes into one long form video for your consumption needs. Will probably come out a week after Part 4, it won't take long to make it, rendering will be a bitch though.
A few more THJ videos if the first one does well to give you all something to watch while you wait for the 6th P99 episode.
Project 1999 Episode 6 - Currently filming, I reached level 51 today, I don't know how long this is, so I'll be recording for it for the forseable future - Whenever it's done. I'll be playing daily, but everything post 50 is slow AF, and there is a lot of shit to do. So I'm gonna take my time and figure out how I wanna do it and how much I want to include.

Let's talk, it's been awhile. As those who know who hang out in my discord, the screen, while already broken, wasn't the reason my laptop wouldn't work as I discovered in Decemeber when I tried to have it repaired. The motherboard is fried. It's kind of a death sentence for my laptop.
However, my roommate has a laptop he doesn't use, that's where I'm typing this. It's kinda shit, but it's good enough to record and edit EQ. The question... after all of this time...
What should I do? There's a new problem with my laptop down, any footage I had for the last part of episode 5 is gone. It's not that big of a deal, because it's 49 to 50, and some tradeskills. I can make up the context with editing. The main thing I want to know is... what does my audience want?
The poll is enclosed. Someone made a comment about having watched my series like 10 times. I hate the idea of leaving it incomplete. I want to finish it once and for all. However, Kaz is busy with his own life, and I haven't spoken to Kilf in a long time. So it's just going to be me, and whoever I meet along the way.

So I've been doing a lot of thinking. I did a poll back in April/May about what I should play, P99 or Quarm. The poll was pretty split, with P99 winning out by a hair.
I was thinking of doing another poll as I'm getting close to getting my laptop repaired, finally (Last time I bought a monitor, but I could not get the screen to display, so I 100% have to get it fixed)).
I've been weighing the options. P99 seems to be very stagnant, Green launched in 2018/2019 (I don't remember), whereas Quarm launched nearly a year ago and seems to have active development.
That, and it just launched into Kunark, so it will have new content coming out until 2027? It just seems like the move, especially since they brought in the whole guild instance system.
Some people may dislike it because there is always a #nochanges community. However, the idea of joining a server with minimal competition outside of earthquakes seems appealing.
I don't want to raid with a top guild because frankly, it sounds too time consuming, I don't want to spend every stream in a raid cuz there are massive attendance requirements.
I already have three guilds in mind (Will discuss that when I start streaming), but they fit my vision for the kind of guild I want to join.
So yeah, I'm gonna be playing on quarm. When I do start streaming, I'll be aiming for six nights a week in the evening for NA (This is due to my sleep schedule).
I would like to start September 20th, but I am not going to announce an actual start date until my laptop is back up and running. There is a lot of setup I want to do, because I don't want low effort streams.
I'll announce my start date in a video that reveals my voice and maybe my face. I've got quite the plan for my first stream, it's gonna be a big event. As I don't just want it to be a regular stream. More details in that video that I mentioned I'm gonna do.
I'll be rolling a fresh Barbarian Shaman. I'm really excited for this. I can't wait to get started.

Update: For those of you who don't know, I've been giving small updates in my discord. Sometime this month, I should be able to get my laptop repaired.
Once it's up and running, I need to get a new internet connection because my current one that my landlord put in when we moved in is... well, it's shit. Like 4mbs down shit, you can't stream on that.
So I'm gonna get orange Fiber optic put in that's like 1000mbs up. We used them in the past.
Nearly a month ago, we adopted a rescue fresh off the street, he's a husky I named Charlie. So now I've got four huskies.
If I were to give an estimate as to when I'll be able to start streaming, late August, early September.
I included some bonus pictures of Gandalf and Fritz playing. Once I'm back up, I'm gonna post a video announcing when I'm gonna start streaming and get back to making content.

Bad news, everyone. I posted this in the discord, but rather than getting the screen on my laptop repaired, I bought a monitor, and I am getting no signal.
This means my streaming debut is going to be pushed back until I can go into town and get it fixed. I'll actually need to make two trips, one to drop it off and one to pick it up.
I'll get it done asap, but my number one priority as always is taking care of Alpha. I hope her tumor continues to shrink enough so they can remove it.
I'll update ya'll when I have it fixed. Silver lining is I'll have two monitors.

It's looking like I'll be back up and running this Thursday, pending no further disasters. I'll have more updates as I get things running. The tentative start date for streaming is May 10th, will be on Twitch.
The plan is to do play Ithilious on P99 for the duration of May, then I'm going to roll an Iksar Necromancer on Quarm June 1st (I think that's when pre patch comes out.)
I plan on flipping between the two servers.
