Hello! My name is Karen, and I received a late autism diagnosis at age 40. It was the happiest and most consequential day of my life.

For so many years, I hated myself for being unable to do what others found intuitive. My diagnosis was the solution to a lifelong mystery. Finally, I understood who I was!

I was immediately saddened to realize that being openly autistic would jeopardize my employment, relationships, and financial security. It was an impossible choice. Ultimately, it was my oldest child's diagnosis that motivated me to claim my autistic identity. Change must happen, and I am dedicated to being part of it!

I am an AuDHDer, have severe PTSD, and have struggled in the past with dissociative behavior and avoidant personality disorder. I am also a mother and have worked as a strategic consultant for over a decade. My life experiences shape my content and how I deliver it.
