National Law Universities (NLUs) are to law what IITs are to technology in India. There are as many as 25 NLUs in India and 24 of them take admissions through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). NLU Delhi takes admission through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET).
There are 5 major law entrance tests, at undergraduate level, in India. These are CLAT, AILET, Maharashtra CET for 5-year law programs, Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) and LSAT-India.
There are some Central Universities like BHU and University of Allahabad that admit students for their 5-year law programs through the CUET UG.
