The morning of December 18th. It was so cold. I stopped by Uji to buy tea for everyone back home and paid my respects at the Kyoani memorial again.
I'm leaving Japan this week after a year living here. Maybe I will upload some content about the journey to the Patreon.

Small PMMM Walpurgisnacht Rising news:
Friend of the channel @ChrisLam recently got an opportunity to talk to Homura's English voice actor, Cristina Valenzuela.
When asked about the film, she said she is expecting to be called, but hasn't heard yet. That's probably a different answer than what she would say had she been called and recorded anything under NDA.
This isn't too surprising considering Aniplex usually doesn't have any appetite for simuldubs and global worldwide release parity, so we could still be on for a January or February JP release, but likely not in English anytime soon.

This week I finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream of doing an anime pilgrimage! I went to North High in Nishinomiya, where there is still a ton of Haruhi Suzumiya merch and tourism.
At Cafe Dream, where Endless Eight ends every episode, I met a Japanese man who decided to move to Nishinomiya because he watched Haruhi. It was really emotional.
Kyon's walk to school every day was actually insane, I totally get why he was winded. I even ran the route he ran in Disappearance with the train passing by!
