Just got back to desk after strength training. Arms and abs, 10 minutes on elliptical for the steps, haha. 4716 steps as of 3:10 pm. #10kstepsaday, #75strong, #losefat, #protein, #donātquit, #gainmuscle&bonestrength,

We were starting our nightly 45 minute walk and there was a cat I didnāt see. Duke went near it and it caught his neck with itās claws. I got duke away from the cat and went to check him and saw blood pouring from his neck. I scooped him up, put pressure on it and ran for help. I grabbed some random guy and asked for help. He held duke while I drove from emergency vet to emergency vet, they kept turning us away saying they were full. I finally got urgent vet to take him. The accident happened at 830, it was now 1030. We finally were accepted. So the random guy, Wayne stayed with us until around 11. Then duke got a shot of opioids to settle him down so they could take Xrays to make sure nothing like his trachea was torn. Shaved and cleaned up. A puncture wound with bad bruising and swelling. I have to give pain meds, antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds for a week or so. Today I need to find an inflatable collar or a turtleneck onesie for him to wear so he doesnāt lick the area. Home by 1230. No sleep, kept checking if he was breathing. It was horrible and scary! I thought he was going to bleed out in my arms.

I am so sorry about the weird view on tonight's video! I deleted all the footage so I could not rework it. I had to delete the video, it was just awful! I will try to film the haul again one night next week! sorry friends!!!!

Hi Friends! No video today, my bottom lip is sore and swollen. I have put some ortho wax over the area to prevent my trays from rubbing on that spot. Tonight I am resting and snuggling my pup. I hope to return tomorrow! See ya then!
