D.W. Thomas is a woman of many talents. She began her love of storytelling in the theater, acting in over 15 plays, before turning her attention behind the camera. After studying editing and directing at APA International Film School in Sydney, Australia, she began her 20-year career as a feature film editor. Editing films such as BLACK LIMOUSINE (Winner, Audience Choice Award, Santa Cruz Film Festival), CALL BACK, HOOP REALITY, and THE BRONX BULL, to name a few. While producing and editing featurettes for studios including NBC, Disney, Marvel and Pixar, she directed numerous short films including IN GRAIN which won "Best Film" at the Santa Fe 3-Minute Film Fest, and HEY FIBI! which was an Official Selection of the LA Shorts International Film Festival.
Her feature directorial debut TOO LATE (2021) was released in select theaters across America to rave reviews from audiences and critics alike!
