What's up guys! I just wanted to give you a little update about what has been going on with me lately and why I have been ghosting out on YouTube and my music activity for the past month.
Over the last few weeks I have been thinking quite a lot about what I want to do with my future.
As you've noticed, I kind of stopped from this "YouTube grind" that I was keeping up during summer and September - October.
I really wanted to be as active as I could on both YouTube and music, but as you could expect, school got in the way and I had to go through this super rough period of tests. This eventually ended up to me deciding that I should take a break from YouTube, since my mental health is way more important than ending up overworking myself and causing some unwanted damage.
In the mean time, I started reflecting a little bit about what I really want to do with my life. I've also noticed that this whole entire year I haven't been releasing that much music, and that started to worry me quite a lot, because this whole "100k subscribers" goal changed my mentality and it made me forget about my principles. Since day 1, when I started uploading actual content on YouTube, I decided that my top priority would be music, and YouTube would be this hobby that I do for fun. For the past couple of months, YouTube and music changed places, meaning that making videos would be my top priority. That made me forget that it's much more important for me to evolve in my music production and make better tracks, rather than uploading content.
Because of that, I decided that I would take a much more serious tone about my music, meaning that I would start making heavy quality tracks and giving up on childish music that is easier to produce. At the end of the day, avoiding habits and pushing yourself further and further with each track makes you evolve A LOT more in your production.
Also, this means that I will start being a lot more experimental with my music, since I want to develop a recognizable style.
So, my final decision is to focus a lot more on my music, rather than making lots of YouTube videos. That doesn't mean I am giving up on YouTube completely, it just means that I will slow the rate of these videos down and I will upload stuff more rarely than I used to, since music will now be my top priority.
I am really sorry to anyone that I disappointed with this decision, since I know there's quite a lot of you guys who are here because of my content rather than my music, but I hope you can understand why I'm doing this.
I know there are so many of you that support me in everything that I do and I love you guys so much for being part of this journey! <3
