Hey, cool people!
If you celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you're having/had a good time with your family, with tasty food and no arguments (ideally). To give a little info about myself: I don't personally celebrate Thanksgiving, but I still go to family functions - though I've been taking steps to try to stop that - and the reason I don't celebrate it is because of the roots of the holiday. If you're not from the USA, the general story we were told about the 1st Thanksgiving was that: it was in 1621 the Pilgrims of the Plymouth Colony invited the Wampanoag Native peoples to make peace and celebrate what they're thankful for; and this is not the truth.
I'll be posting a link in the comments that talks about the truth behind thanksgiving as a holiday and I'll be linking Indigenous creators you can follow for more information or just to show support ❤️
