Nurturing and integrating the fragmented parts of ourselves creates a foundation for greater harmony within us and in our world.
This journey often begins by developing a strong Inner Self-helper β the core adult on duty, who guides and nurtures all parts of ourselves. We may have lacked a consistently nurturing parent in childhood, yet we can learn to re-parent ourselves as adults.
Developing an internal nurturing parent lets us support and embrace our disowned parts. Often these inner kids are caught in our past, still running the old, dysfunctional coping mechanisms they needed to survive.
As we bring the little ones into current time and release old ways of handling a chaotic life, we also release patterns of sabotage and procrastination. We free up our creativity and capacity to love.
