Forgiveness is a choice.

We don’t do it because we feel like doing it. We do it because of who we are.

We are sons of God. If the Father chooses to forgive, we imitate our Father and we choose to forgive.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that someone who did evil to you deserves access to you.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean someone who did something illegal to you should not be in jail or prison.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean you trust this person or invite them back into your life.

Forgiveness means that you choose to release this debt to the one it belongs to, Jesus Christ.

Forgiveness means you don’t put yourself through suffering twice.

The 1st suffering happens when you were wronged.

The 2nd suffering happens when you feel the consequences of staying in a place of unforgiveness.

Suffering because of unforgiveness often looks like mental, emotional, and physical distress.

But there is deliverance in forgiveness!

Yahweh is a God of love.

We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).

Love is not only defined by emotional intimacy. It is also defined by the choices that we make.

That is why Scripture says, “if you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15).

So we cannot reduce love to emotion or belief. Biblical love requires our obedience!

Scripture Reference:
“We love because God first loved us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭

Is Spiritual Warfare Real?

There’s a lot of debate in the Church about how we should respond to the devil.

Do we have to fight the devil’s schemes in our day to day lives?

Or does Jesus’ work on the cross mean that there’s nothing left for us to do?

To find the answer, we must examine Scripture.

James 4:7 calls us to submit to God & resist the devil.

In 1 Peter 5, the devil is described as a roaring lion who God commands us to resist.

Ephesians 6:11 calls us to put on the whole armor of God to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The Bible says a word is established by the testimony of 2 or 3 witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1).

Those are 3 separate apostolic witnesses after the death, burial & resurrection of Jesus Christ confirming through the Holy Spirit that we are called to resist the enemy.

The devil is a defeated foe. Still, we are called to resist the devil.

Any ministry, church or leader that is teaching that we do not have to resist the devil because of what Jesus did on the Cross is teaching a doctrine of demons!

Scripture References:

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” ‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This will be the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” 2 Corinthians 13:1 NKJV

The Truth about Perfectionism

Perfectionism is killing you.

Some of you would be where God wants you to be, but you’re too concerned about being perfect.

The worst part?

The perfectionism that you’re pursuing is not Godly perfectionism.

The perfectionism that you’re pursuing is because of fear of man.

Fears like:

“If I just do it with my resources now, if I do it with what I got now, what will people think?”

“How will people feel about me?”

Sound familiar? These are all fears meant to drain & delay you.

But there is a perfectionism that you should pursue.

Godly perfectionism comes from the Greek word “telios”.

It means to be complete or mature, lacking nothing.

But guess what?

You can’t become complete or mature without beginning.

So choose today to put aside the fear of man & just begin.

P.S. If this message resonates with you & you want to pursue Biblical maturity & completeness, check out the “Teleios” t-shirt on the Sonship University website.

It’s a reminder that we can lay down worldly perfectionism & pursue something greater instead.

The Overcomers are Up NEXT!

“This is a season where the overcomers will be made plain.

This is a season where the confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ will be tested.

This is a time of the restoration of discipleship within the Body of Christ.

This is a time of restoration of Biblical order and priority in the Kingdom of God!

The Reality of Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is real. Whether you believe in it or not, it affects you.

If you don’t face it head on, it robs you of your power to advance the kingdom of God.

If you ignore it because it seems weird, it will take away your ability to help those who you are called to serve.

If you turn a blind eye to it, it will steal peace from you and from the ones you love.

When you don’t know how to fight & win, it causes unnecessary chaos in every area of your life.

The enemy has come to steal, kill & destroy. Jesus has promised us life to the full. (John 10:10)

If we want to receive Jesus’s promise of life to the full, we have to fight for it. We first fight for it by understanding who we are in Jesus.

Our understanding of our identity in Jesus is what allows us to fight & win!

Scripture Reference:

“The thief enters only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest.” John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ ‭

Prophet, Do NOT Let Jezebel Muzzle You!

Cry Loud & Spare Not.

Lift your voice like a Trumpet.

If you do not release the Insight that God has given you, the people will Perish.

You are the Watchman on the wall.

They can’t see the danger coming, you can.

Speak, do not let the blood of the rebellious be on your hands.

Speak, that the Blood of Jesus would cover you!

P.S. If you want to read the full disclosure word of encouragement to the prophets, visit my website, Sonship University.
