As a product designer, food art enthusiast, and alcoholic (abstaining from alcohol since 2008), I will pursue "nonalcohol alcohol".
I have been exploring and creating food-related works with my friends, relying on my senses and way of thinking inspired by the various art forms I have been exposed to. From my personal experiences with food, I have wondered why people are so fascinated with taste, whether there is a "just right" taste like other senses, and what we can see when we explore the space between "good" and "bad. I am very interested in the demon called "deliciousness" that I experienced through dependence and its disconnection.
And I came to love "playing with doubting senses. This experience of rethinking the food around us makes us realize that some of our senses are externally defined by our environment and culture.
I am now ready to make "alcohol-free sake", borrow the senses of those who taste it, and finally try to find out what sake really is.
