Valerie is someone who,in Irisβs past,she was basically a lifeline to iris due to some things that happened(youβll learn them eventually) and after she died Iris started to hallucinate her because of how violent the way she died.
These hallucinations can be a simple as hearing her voice to as real as him being able to βtouchβ her(like her hand)
Even though every one of these sensations are just a way his mind has learned to cope,
The way he snapped himself back to reality in the video was because he stopped focusing on Valerie after Mia
Started talking to him,when she started to question iris about who Valerie was,it forced his mind to stop and process
About why she questioned him about her,making him realize and remember that Valerie..
Is dead.
