Shaneva Brown is better known as Monay. A performing artist out of Atlanta, Georgia, she has been singing, dancing, modeling and acting professionally since she was a child, though it wasn’t until she reached the age of sixteen that she found her true passion through poetry and music. Once she discovered her voice, acting and modeling made way for music, and there was no looking back. On stage, Monay is a consummate performer who can deliver a song with true passion, engaging all the senses with powerful vocals and skillfully executed dance numbers. She has well over forty performances to her credit, highlights of which include playing to a sold out audience at an arena in Kent, Washington, opening for Ginuwine, K-Ci and JoJo, H-Town, Shai and Silk. She owns the stage, and knows that it is exactly where she belongs – it’s where she is able to become more truly herself, and best able to express the breadth of her creativity.
