Are you an experienced singer? AfterGlow Chorus is currently scheduling singer auditions for our Fall Season with rehearsals starting in September with concerts on October 6th & 20th!
The concerts "Con Amor: Music from Latin America" is a special program where we will be singing a wide variety of beautiful music from around Latin America across many musical genres (i.e., classical, jazz, pop, etc.)

This concert promises to be unlike anything you've experienced before, a truly soul-stirring and heartfelt performance with an unusually wide array of music, featuring everything from powerful freedom songs and African-American spirituals to rich choral masterpieces, uplifting Gospel tunes, and timeless Motown classics!
Our special Guest Artist, Dr. Lynne Morrow, @lynnemorrow5, is a renowned specialist in American music, known for her work in opera, music theatre, and choral music. She has received the Heritage Keepers Award from The Friends of Negro Spirituals and has worked as a dramaturg for opera, funded by Opera America.
Dr. Morrow earned a GRAMMY nomination for her work on Bernstein’s “Mass” with Kent Nagano and the Pacific Mozart Ensemble (now called Pacific Edge Voices), where she also recorded two CDs of Dave Brubeck’s choral music. Additionally, Dr. Morrow directed the Voice and Opera/Music Theatre Programs at Sonoma State University as well as the Oakland Symphony Chorus, commissioning new works and leading international tours.
Dr. Morrow conducts workshops on African American Spirituals and works with choruses nationwide. She has lectured for major Bay Area organizations including San Francisco Opera and Oakland Symphony. She strives to connect deeply with audiences by presenting diverse musical works in innovative ways.
