He is widely known around much of the world for only two things. The scorpion Kick in 1995 against England at Wembley and for being dispossessed by Roger Milla in the 1990 World Cup.
But he was one of South America's top goalkeepers and had a career spanning from 1985 until 2008.
He was probably the best sweeper keeper in the history of Football and his style of play was fundamental in Colombia's National Football teams rise from 1987 onwards. He played 68 times for Colombia between 1987-1999.
He also ranks 3rd In the all time Goalkeeper scoring charts at the time of writing this with his career total at around 50 goals.
His style of sweeping and playing football behind his defence meant that his team could push forward and play a high pressure game.
It worked as Colombia became one of the top South American Teams.
