#Missionaccomplished:
I've now experienced BOTH sides of the AFC North rivalry with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens with today's bone chilling visit to M&T Bank Stadium. For anyone not familiar with this rivalry, Since the Ravens' inception in 1996, they have played at least twice a year, often for divisional supremacy. Both teams are known for fielding tough, hard-hitting defensive squads, giving their games an extra element of physical intensity.

Bad news if you're a fan of the Atlantic City Airshow, friends:
If you were hoping for the show to return in 2025, you're gonna have to wait a bit longer. Earlier this afternoon, the Atlantic City chamber of commerce released this statement:
âAfter careful consideration, the Atlantic City Airshow will take a strategic pause for 2025. We will use this time to reevaluate the overall operations of the show â reevaluating community engagement, assessing costs, reviewing logistics and creatively considering what future Atlantic City Airshows could look like. It is our sincere hope that we will once again be in a position to hold an Airshow in 2026. Our goal is to ensure the long-term viability of the Airshow â it is New Jerseyâs largest free event, a 20-year tradition, that has brought joy to hundreds of thousands of visitors and residents alike. We recognize the Airshow's significant role in our community and to the tourism economy, and we are steadfast in our dedication to preserving its legacy, while adapting to current economic realities. We wish to thank the City of Atlantic City who each year welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors to its beaches for the Airshow. We also thank Atlantic County and the greater South Jersey region for their continued support of this event year after year. Finally, we thank our generous sponsors, military and civilian performers, community partners and all who contributed their services and expertise in order to make the Atlantic City Airshow the worldâs premier beachfront airshow.â

Although I'm disappointed the Phillies lost to the New York Mets 3 games to one and World Series dreams have come to an end, I will say this is been a hell of an enjoyable season! It's hard for me to pick which game I documented was the most enjoyable, because every ball game has something unique, like people.

Even though the Eagles lost by one last night 22-21, the game day experience at the Linc was definitely something to see: especially when you consider that last night was also a shout-out to Eagles legend Nick Foles who announced his retirement from the NFL.

#NeverForgetSeptember112001
For me, I was a third grader at Westtown Thornbury Elementary School in the West Chester Area School District. When I left for the school bus that morning, I could not have imagined that just hours later, the country would be changed forever in a series of deliberate and deadly acts of terrorism. Just like everyone else across the rest of the country, the day started out "normal" as I took the bus the school, attended classes and anything else my elementary school did during the morning at that time. At some point, as news of the unfolding attacks started getting out, then came the million dollar question: How do you keep students safe while managing your own personal reactions to the unfolding situation? When the principal came on the intercom, many of us were initially unaware of what was going on. I do remember we didn't watch any of the coverage as they tried to maintain a sense of "normalcy", but no one was allowed to have recess outdoors (which I found very strange as I was accustomed to indoor recess if in the event that the weather was bad, or if you got in trouble with your teacher), and we were still expected to go to our classes. During classes, it was 50/50 as far as how much (if any) information was shared amongst Elementary Schoolers. Younger children (like myself) might not have fully understood why they had to stay indoors on a bright and sunny day, while older students would likely have greater awareness of the gravity of the situation. When the time for dismissal approached, parents and school bus drivers would gather outside, anxious to pick us up to get us home. There may have been organized announcements about the process of releasing students, ensuring that safety procedures were still followed.
Once I did get home, my mom, dad and grandma has used age-appropriate language to explain the seriousness of the events without inciting fear. They just simply left it as "4 airplanes crashed today." They didn't say who was involved, or why they crashed because quite frankly: I don't think they could figure out how to explain to an 8 year old that the reason why these 4 went down is because somewhere, someone wanted them to go down.

Happy Labor Day everyone!
This has definitely been a busy summer for me, and I would say one of my favorite highlights had to be the "Northeast Corridor ballpark tour" I did: paying visits to the Nationals, Orioles, Phillies, Yankees and Mets! They were all very unique in their own way with regards to the fan atmosphere, the history of all 5 teams and the fan offerings they gave regarding concessions, fan favorite events, etc, and I enjoyed taking you all along for the ride! :)

Bad news friends:
Due to a major act pulling out, this year's Atlantic City Airshow has been cancelled. According to reports from WPG Talk Radio, they had a lot of trouble trying to secure a showstopper demonstration squadron after the Thunderbirds announced they would no longer be available for a midweek airshow and the Blue Angels never had the Atlantic City airshow on their radar when they came out with their 2024 schedule. Even though they showed promise when they got the Polaris Dawn demonstration team, unfortunately, they had to pull out due to circumstances beyond anyone's control and, try as they might, the Atlantic City Airshow will be grounded for 2024.
To their credit: I want to offer a shoutout to the Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, Visit Atlantic City, David Schultz Airshows and others for their teamwork to put together an airshow like this one. Hopefully, they'll be able to hold this again in the future...
