Long, rambling post ahead. Read this when you have the time.
This channel has been running for more than a decade, after my original YouTube account got zapped due to copyright issues, many from Naxos America. A pity, since I also had there old recordings of me playing on my old Casio digital piano.
As implied above, this is a continuation of my old channel, uploading old classical music recordings from various artists, both well-known and relatively obscure. But with the age of digital streaming, where almost every recording has been made available by labels, looks like this chapter is slowly closing.
A few of my original followers have known me as that guy who uploaded classical music recordings with pictures of artwork made by abstract painter Wassily Kandinsky, whose work and philosphy I've become attuned with as I later started drawing.
I've also uploaded a few sheet music videos of recordings. While many hold the principle of having duplicate uploads of the same piece with sheet music as bad, I think it is a good thing. Why limit yourselves? It's another reference point, and you begin to lament why this and that video had disappeared. Come on, dudes.
You may have seen two recent uploads of liturgical music. It's originally uploaded as a reference for a music ministry I have joined this year. On top of classical recordings, I have also uploaded hip-hop music as I fell in love with it when I began to play GTA San Andreas many years back.
Speaking of GTA San Andreas, I had this unbelievable moment recorded earlier through the in-game replay system. It was hilarious and had me in disbelief at the same time. It will be uploaded this week. It's a short clip anyway.
Honestly, I don't know what to put here on my channel anymore. People don't like ads (I certainly don't), that's why I held off having my videos monetized, even if a few of them are original content. Did I miss out on at least a few dollars? Not that I'm being greedy or anything, I just need the money to supplement my daily needs.
I don't know what direction this channel is going to take. Will it remain my "potpourri of emotions," when I wrote that in my high school to early college years? My original goal then was to be able to have a better piano and recording system, but that eventually scuttled out.
For the sake of my subscribers, please, I am absolutely asking you, to comment on this post. I don't want a simple poll where you just click and go. I want YOUR input. Music, games, VODs from Twitch, even though I haven't streamed there for months if not more than a year?
The only comments this channel are getting are from a few entrance music theme songs for former Japanese pro-wrestlers. By the way, I still have a folder full of them, so if you're interested, I can post seperately about it..
My personal life has been a mess. Perhaps I could post here about it? It's not like anyone from my friends know this channel belongs to me.
