The Gothrock Archive is meant to assemble artists and formations that made or still make music contributing to - (i.e.: have pioneered, influenced, enhanced and/or perfected) - GOTHIC ROCK.
In order to display the great diversity of an often misjudged musical genre, we decided to also include bands generally labeled as:
... batcave, post-punk, dark-punk, deathrock, new wave, no wave, ethereal (whatever this means), darkwave, cold wave etc.
