Ger Loughlin is an Irish ballad and folk singer who grew up in Naas, Co. Kildare where the songs and sounds of The Dubliners, Clancy Brothers and kitchen sessions were all part of his early experience.
He has been playing guitar and singing ballads for the past twenty years and is a member of the five piece folk group, Dublin City Workingman's Band for the past decade. He has performed in pubs, clubs, concert venues and festivals in Ireland and across Europe.
In 2011 he released "Home Ground", his first collection of original songs. Using an array of acoustic instruments and powerful vocal harmonies, the songs are modern ballads on contemporary themes.
Ger Loughlin is a songwriter who continues to sing his large repertoire of Irish and Celtic folk songs, with an increasing number of his own songs now sitting comfortably in his live performances.
