The Beat Magazine's in 1991 Amy Miller described punta rock as, "clearly Caribbean, somewhat African, totally frenetic with tropical dance fever." Punta rock deserves to take its place with the better known world musics. If it does, Caye Records will have played a big role in the music's ascension.
