As a violinist, I've long been fascinated by Leonid Kogan's art, collecting every recording that I could find. More recently, I began remastering the recordings that I've enjoyed listening to for such a long time. I'm not an audio engineer so this process is simple (primarily equalization and noise reduction), but I think these adjustments can go a long way and really bring out the core of Kogan's sound. Feel free to see my most recent uploads, starting with the Sauret cadenza to Paganini's violin concerto No.1. This cadenza was the first recording I heard from Kogan, and to this day, I still think it is the most inspiring recording of violin playing that I have ever heard.
