This week my oldest daughter started school. I stayed parked in the same area as the school all day. All I could think about is how im supposed to be the protector and how we can’t depend on our schools to really do that in any way.
I walk her into school and everyone is so nice. The Teachers care about the students more than anything. What is sad is our school system and how everything is set up just doesn’t show enough care and focus on the teachers.
What do we pay our teachers to have our kids for 7 hrs a day?
What do we pay them to play this big of a part in our kids lives?
If we paid them $100,000 wouldn’t that weed out the teachers we complain about with the blue hair and LGBT flag in her room?
What do we want our kids to get from school and what type of person and work does that truly require as a teacher?
Let’s take care of our youth and put teachers in better positions.
Donate to a classroom. That’s what I’ll begin to do..
