I worked intensely for 3 weeks trying my best to create my first diamond to present to the 3rd generation Dutch master cutter apprenticing me. He smiled and quietly handed back my prized gem that I had suffered so much to make brilliant. I realized then only perfection would be accepted. I still carry this endless search for the beauty in each and every diamond and jewelry piece.
