About
Joel Porter is an ambient-folk artist and instrumentalist from North Dakota, now living in Nashville, TN. Collaborating with producer Eric hillman (e.hillman - Foreign Fields), he introduced his intimate, expressive solo project with the release of the nature-inspired Mountain Twin EP. Joel followed with the personal & heritage-inspired Hiraeth - EP (again working with Hillman) in 2018 and released his debut full-length LP, A Costly Collection, in August of 2023. As an instrumentalist, he has recorded string and brass parts for Foreign Fields, Hembree, Matthew And The Atlas, and Boom Forest.
