Hey guys! A few of you have reached out asking how we are after Helene swept through the Asheville - Hendersonville NC area. 💗 We are fine, and our apartment and car are fine too. We have been without power or water since Friday. It could be up to a week before power comes on, and no timeframe for water yet. I think it might still be under water. Still lots of road closures, and only a few supermarkets are open. There is lots of devastation in the area. I don’t think many people expected this! We drove to the supermarket today near downtown Hendersonville (this picture is NOT from today!) to get supplies and you could see lots of places where the flood waters had receded. Big helicopters have been flying overhead all day. I know they did some air rescues for people trapped in their homes in Lake Lure. I know FEMA is, or will be dispatched here soon. Our thoughts are with everyone who is suffering much more than we are from this devastation, as well as the rescue/fire dept/police, and the people working so hard to get power and water restored. We miss you Buckos, and hope to get a video posted to you once we have power and internet. 💗💗💗

Hey guys! We are sorry for the long periods of no posts!!! So many of you have so kindly checked in or written such nice messages asking when we’ll be back. It’s been a time of major ups and downs and we are still in the midst of this now, unfortunately!
Our dog Saba has been back and forth with her health since the end of August 2023 and it’s been very hard on her little bod. Since she is already blind and nearly 16 years old, she depends on us quite a lot. She had major skin problems that arose from a very low thyroid which has cleared up beautifully, but it took more than 6 months. Now suddenly she is having trouble walking. We have a great vet and she is getting excellent care, but it’s a hard time right now, and it’s unclear if any treatment will help. We are hopeful, but it’s hard to know what will happen when you have an elderly doggie. In dog years, she is about 110 years old!
We wanted to let you all know that we STILL have plans to do videos as soon as we can, hopefully very soon. We love you guys and miss making fun videos for you! Thanks for sticking around, and we hope you are having a beautiful spring. 💗
