Newcastle Wheelchair Rugby Club enter a team into the Wheelchair Rugby 5’s (WR5’s) Leagues, the club plays under the name the North East Barbarians.
Who Can Play Wheelchair Rugby 5’s?
Anyone with a permanent physical disability who are unable to play running rugby.
How To Play Wheelchair Rugby 5s
Adult Wheelchair Rugby Training:
Tuesday 7:00pm to 9.00pm
Blyth Sports Centre

Junior Wheelchair Rugby Training:
Tuesday 7:00pm to 8.00pm

All volunteers and players welcome. All kit will be provided.
Our aims are to firstly offer access to wheelchair sport for all individuals from across the region whether they be male, female, young or old. Secondly, we aim to develop a competitive team that aims to compete in the Wheelchair Rugby Fives National Leagues.
Wheelchair Rugby 5s (WR5s) started in 2018 and is growing year on year.
