In this weeks video, I answer a comment I got regarding LION'S MANE mushroom lowering libido! I started digging and found a good handful of anecdotes on that on Reddit, but is there data to back it up? Will it happen to most people? Full details here!: https://youtu.be/B0TCy-ChJ3M

Let's feed the algorithm! Hit the video with a thumbs up and a comment if you found value in it :) <33

I just got this screenshot from Editor Steve 😉 Working on Sunday's video!

Any guesses as to what I'll be doing? Whoever gets it right first I'll send them a package of Alpha Dynamics mushrooms! Lol

Hint: it involves 3 older videos of mine 👀

The Trifecta For Optimal Living 😎

It’s been a crazy week! This is the first week I haven’t uploaded a video in MONTHS. So thank you for your patience, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming this Sunday 🙌

In the meantime… I’ve been thinking a lot about priorities when it comes to my health, longevity, cognition, performance, and wellbeing. What has been most important for me over these last 3 years that has helped me maintain a healthy, high performing baseline?

After some thought (and some inspiration from a post by @antidiet_dietician on Instagram) I put this together to remind myself what matters most, in my opinion. I hope it can spark some new thoughts for you in your life.

For the three outer layers of priority:

1️⃣ I’ve realized that with anything, ADHERENCE is the most important. It does NOT matter if you find the best supplement, diet protocol, stress management system, meditation, workout, money budgeting tool, or WHATEVER if you cannot SUSTAIN IT IN YOUR LIFE.

It’s not what we do in a day, but what we do daily. Habits and consistency is the most important bar none, IMHO.

2️⃣ Then comes our mental state. How do we truly FEEL? What lens are we viewing our life from? Are we happy and have some sense of purpose?

3️⃣ Sleep. If your sleep is crappy, it can drastically impact everything on the inner 3 pieces of the pie. Not sleeping well on a regular basis? That can hinder your fitness and physical activity performance and recovery. It can signal you to have strong cravings throughout the day, making you hungrier, so your diet and nutrition could potentially suffer. If can cause your body to be in a constant state of stress, leading to mental stress (or not being able to handle pre-existing stress effectively)

Then comes the inner-three pieces of the pie.

Diet and nutrition, stress management, and physical activity.

I’ll save some details for those three for a separate post (or perhaps a video) so I don’t keep this one too long. I did want to share that, and if any questions/thoughts come up about any of this please feel free to communicate it with me! 💜

What would you change, add, or takeaway from this?

👀 FULL DAY OF EATING! (Link below)

I’m experimenting with a mini-series of videos I’ll be posting on Instagram TV (don’t worry, this will not derail or takeaway from my YouTube content) where I share with you what I’m eating on a daily basis.

Here’s the link to the first episode that I just published TODAY 👉 www.instagram.com/tv/Bx2gE8KA7dF/?igshid=tae6be6oc…
These are going to be quicker videos (quick meaning <10 minutes) and way more “off the cuff”

My hopes for this is that you get yummy takeaways for macro friendly meals, great options for when you’re on the road/in-a-rush, food reviews, and some entertainment. I’m also using it as a vehicle for practicing my shooting/editing skills.

Again, here’s the link 👉 www.instagram.com/tv/Bx2gE8KA7dF/?igshid=tae6be6oc…
Look forward to multiple episodes a week (ideally, we’ll see how well I can work this into my schedule)

Would love to hear your feedback! 🙏👌

Raw Liver Omelette anyone? 😋 Guess what...

This tasted AMAZING! Couldn’t even tell there was liver in there. It is macro friendly (meaning low-in calories, high in protein), filled me up, & gave me a great energy boost.

Liver is no doubt one of THE most nutrient dense foods around.

But the thought of eating liver, or organ meats in general, freaks a lot of people out... Especially RAW 😬😆

Why raw? I suspect that since it’s so dense with nutrients, which can get “turned off” from cooking/high heat, why not have it raw?

Of course I got this liver from a trusted source. A local family farm with pasture raised animals. I also froze it beforehand to minimize any potential bacteria.

Who would like a recipe video on how to make this nutrient-dense super food taste good, both cooked and raw? Let me know by LIKING this post and I’ll get to work on it 😄

CURRENT MORNING COFFEE RECIPE! 🧨

Hey, friend 😉 I want to let you know, because of the holiday, there will not be a new video this week. So if you haven't seen the two videos I posted during this last week - here are the links 👇

The Ugly Truth About Mushroom Supplements ▶️ https://youtu.be/MTvVU57K_KA
Best Medicinal Mushroom Supplements 2019 ▶️ https://youtu.be/UfvmReV1mYw

In the meantime, if you are on Instagram, I do post daily on my stories and on my feed a few times a week. It’s a great place to see what I’m CURRENTLY up to, learning about, & experimenting with. I also do spontaneous live streams. Just the other day I posted a visual 1-minute video showing you my current coffee recipe! I’ll post it below along with a direct link.

I used…
16oz of fresh brewed coffee (Purity Coffee beans)
Half a tablespoon of grass-fed butter
1 teaspoon of MCT oil (from Perfect Keto)
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon ceylon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of Shilajit powder (from Omica Organics)
1/2 teaspoon of Lions Mane Mushroom Extract (from Real Mushrooms)
Pinch of pure stevia (from Omica Organics)
10-15 drops of ConcenTrace Ionic Trace Minerals

I have this every morning. The whole thing is < 130 kcals and keeps me personally satiated for at least 3 hours! Also, the energy boost (mentally, physically, & energetically) is AMAZING because of the ionic minerals, extracts, beneficial compounds, caffeine, etc.

Recipe video ▶️ www.instagram.com/p/BrlMXeagk10/
Have an AMAZING week! Much love, and if any questions, just leave me a comment. See you all next week with a new video!

I’m sure we’ve all experienced this in the midst of researching what’s best for our health & wellbeing... 👇

Let’s be real, though - if you’re stressing out about it this bad, that’s doing more harm for your health than good. It’s a game, my friends... Have fun with it. Be open to trying it ALL. Be open to new perspectives and ideas, be open to switching things up, drop the dogmatic religious holds you have on certain principles, & enjoy the journey :)

Everyone has a study to claim what they’re preaching is right. It’s up to you to enjoy the journey and find what you can fit practically into your life that makes you feel your absolute best, is sustainable, that serves you, and YES that does have some scientific research behind it. But don’t get caught up in the details too much. There’s no destination here. Have fun with the process!! That’s what it’s about!!! And if someone gives you sh*t, tell them to f**k off 🙂 and then send them massive love and thank them for being in this time with you.
