Welcome to JJ in the Mountains, a YouTube channel chronicling my outdoor adventures.

I’ve been hiking and backpacking in the Canadian Rockies and the Pacific Northwest since the late 1970’s.
But, as Indiana Jones said in the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark … “it’s not the years, it’s the mileage”. That mileage has passed underfoot as I’ve hiked through some incredible places, seen amazing animals, experienced great hikes with good friends, and hiked solo to both familiar places and places unknown.

Hike along and experience what I see, hear, and do. I try to keep the camera focused on just that – what I see, and what I experience. You won’t get a lot of JJ in your face, or in your ears. Experience for yourself what these hikes are all about.
