Hey Loves. My sincere apologies for not posting as much content lately. I needed to take a bit of a break from everything. I couldn’t help, but push myself to pay homage/celebrate and do a #pride cake, because I’ve always had a special place in my heart for this time of year. I could never forget how free I felt after coming out to my friends and entire family.
The “artist” in me hates the idea of just pushing out video and photo content on social media, just for the sake of the metrics. I want to put amazing stuff out that I’m actually proud of.
Throughout the years, I’ve met quite a few of you following my work. A good chunk of you are kids who have poured so much support and love. Words can’t express how grateful I am for all of you (adults too!/love all of you!) I think about the meet and greets I’ve had in the past: your vulnerability and ability to connect with me, has always had me in awe. I remember this one girl who talked about her anxiety and how I’ve helped her get through a lot of hard times in her life. It breaks my heart to see any of you guys go through that, especially at that age.
The crazy thing is, all of YOU inspire me! My platform isn’t that large, but apparently enough to impact at least 1 person out there. I wasn’t ready to be transparent enough back then. I just remember going home from that event regretting not spending the rest of the day with them and letting them know things will be okay.
I’ve dealt with anorexia/bulimia, depression and anxiety for the past 15 years. There are times when I’m on top of the world and doing things that make me most happy, but there have been a lot of days where it has been the biggest struggle in the universe. There are times when you feel like nobody is there, broken down and you don’t have a single ounce of energy to get up, but just know that there’s always someone there to catch ya’! You just gotta’ look up, reach out (when you can) and hang in there. You’re not alone and it definitely gets better. I’m always a FaceTime/DM/text/hug away (in person). ::hugs::
I promise I won’t post more heavy/long captions for the time being haha. I’ll be back up ‘n’ runnin’ and excited for you to see what I have up my sleeves! Weird to think, but some of my best stuff usually comes out in times like this haha! Anywhoodle, lots of fun cake designs and recipes coming your way! 🌈🌈🌈
