Melbourne two-piece Big Scary began life strumming and drumming in a suburban living room. 15 years later, Tom Iansek and Jo Syme are recognised as one of Australian music’s most respected and restlessly innovative indie partnerships.
They've created an extensive and critically acclaimed body of work across seven EPs - S/T (2008); The Mini EP (2009); At the Mercy of the Elements (2010); The Big Scary Four Seasons (Autumn/Winter/Spring/Summer) (2010) - and five full-length albums - Vacation (2011); Not Art (2013); Animal (2016); Daisy (2021); Me and You (2022) - which have seen nominations and wins at the AIR Awards, J Awards, ARIA Awards and the Australian Music Prize.
Their newly announced 6th LP 'Wing' will be out Feb 16th 2024, on the label they co-founded with their manager Pieater.
