Traffic cam footage uploaded here is intended to help improve/encourage safety & aid police w/ accident and interstate shooting investigations. Any news agency or YouTube channel using videos from this channel are asked to cite "Traffic Cam Watch" as the source, because VDOT doesn't record traffic cam footage but our partners do, so if you only cite VDOT, people will falsely assume they can harass VDOT for data they don't have. 

We are not affiliated with or funded by VDOT, Virginia State Police, Iteris Inc or Skyline Technology Solutions. All Cease & Desist letters and copyright claims will be forwarded to the Coalition for Integrity, Government Accountability Project & Freedom of the Press Foundation because traffic cameras are taxpayer funded and and publicly viewable and, therefore, free for the public to use as they see fit.
