Cale Hawkins worked behind the scenes for years, writing, producing, & backing artists like Charli xcx, Raveena, & Amber Mark before emerging with his debut I BROKE MY SHOULDERS in 2023 (Switch Hit Records).
After features on NPR’s “All Songs Considered” & “New Music Friday,” Hawkins released A RIVER OF TEETH. He currently writes and produces music with Arthur Moon, Joshua Thew, Garth., & more.
Hawkins has performed in four NPR Tiny Desk concerts (Raveena, Arthur Moon, mxmtoon, and Amber Mark) and joined Charli XCX on SNL in 2022.
Cale Hawkins is originally from Bemus Point, NY (population: 364). After testing out of many classes at Berklee College of Music and graduating at 19, he moved to Brooklyn with a few hundred dollars in his bank account until he landed a tour as a pianist and musical director with Quincy Jones & Nikki Yanofsky. In 2017, Hawkins wrote songs with Raveena that achieved worldwide popularity and led to appearances at Coachella, Primavera Sound, & Lollapalooza.
