HAFI was birthed in Ayios Kwnstantinos ~ Agrinio, Greece. In 1972 brought to life in New York, USA, as Hellenic Arts by Evangelia Symeonidou Bakis. Redefined in 1997 as Hellenic Arab Folklore Institute by Panayiota, Evangelia daughter.
