UPDATE!

I've privated 4 videos on the channel. The videos in question are:

- How to Clean A Monitor Screen
- How to Update Your Drivers Using Driver Easy
- How to Install/Reinstall Windows 10
- How I Like to Setup and Optimize Windows 10

I feel that I have a good reason for privating these videos. For the monitor cleaning video, I recommended the use of isopropyl alcohol. While this isn't always going to be the case, It's generally recommended to avoid using alcohol based cleaners on most monitors as it can ruin the protective film on certain screens. The video was also needlessly long and the new video format I've been experimenting with would be better suited for a video like this. It would also be more respectful of people's time.

For the later 3, The commonality between these videos is the advocacy of using Driver Easy to update drivers. I received many comments claiming that the program was malware which lead me to researching the claim. While I personally can't confirm the claims, There are very real possibilities that most (if not all) driver update programs will have you download fake driver updates for drivers that may not even need updating to help make the program look like it's effective at finding drivers. This very real possibility was enough to convince me to stop using and advocating the program to anybody.

I usually make it pretty clear that I'm not an IT professional. Nor am I a formally trained technician. I'm a long time PC enthusiast trying to help make learning the platform easier for the laymen out there. This does unfortunately mean that I am prone to making a mistake from time to time and I may also be ignorant on certain topics which could be considered common knowledge to someone like an IT professional. Privating these videos and planning to remake them is the least I can do to try and rectify my mistakes.

It's unfortunate that two of these videos happen to be the most viewed videos on this channel. Fortunately i'm not the type to get super attached to my past works, Especially since I feel that anything can always be done better. I hope you all understand the decisions I made today and I will do my best to be better moving forward.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who subscribed and supports Hobbyist PCs. We made it to 1000 subs a couple of weeks back and I can't thank you all enough!

At this time, I am on hiatus from uploading content. However, there are some videos here that I feel could use some updating. Namely the most popular video on this channel (How to clean your monitor). I made some mistakes in that video that needed rectifying and I want to, at the very least, correct my mistakes and make the video shorter.

This isn't me returning to regular uploads. I simply can't make the time for that. However, the constant positive feedback the videos recieve tells me that they've been helpful to many of you. The least I can do is update a few videos.
