What a roller-coaster of a month. I've had some litteral lows (playing outside in 40° weather to make rent) and this week has been some highs I've never experienced.
Last night I found out that my music video for "Come Down" was selected as a finalist in the California @musicvideoawards ...and then I found out it actually WON the rock category! 🤯 This is nuts. Last time I won something for music was grade 11 and it was for drums...so not even musical 😜
There's so much going on this week that I forgot to tell y'all that I have a new song out called "Hey Man". I know a few of you have been waiting patiently for this one.
This post is a bit rambly because I'm honestly still in shock but I want to thank my team of crazies! I feel like I finally found some artists who are as wild as me and who want to make wild art. First off my videographer @ivan_gorbenko_life , thank you for making this crazy video a reality. This is the best video I've ever been a part of. Second, @danger.broome , you're a good pilot but you're a great friend, a real bro. I love you. Third, @senor_mezclador my mixing engineer. What you did to this song that I recorded inside a bus deserves its own award. I feel like I've known you my whole life even though we've only met on Zoom. Last but certainly not least, thank YOU all who continue to support art. Everyone who donated to Carol, everyone who goes out to shows, everyone who buys merch. I'm so grateful for you. Stay wild! 🤘
