THE DRIBBLE SPITZ 999 IS REAL!!!!
My run is unlisted, but will be public when I finish drawing the thumbnail for it. (You can still see the run beforehand through Cyberscore).
...Ok, while I'm here, I guess I might as well give a progress report on "Mario Kart 8 Wave 6 but beats 2 and 4 are swapped", as well as explain why it isn't out yet (If you're only interested in my WarioWare content, you can ignore all of the text after this)
So, good news: 7/8 of the Wave 6 animations are done!
Bad news: The last Wave 6 animation I need to do is...Wii Rainbow Road. You know how the 3DS Rainbow Road animation was so special, it made my Wave 3 video take 3 additional days? Well, the Wii Rainbow Road animation miiight take longer to do, idk. I've made some progress on it, but not that much.
But the other Waves' videos were released within a month of the Wave itself coming out, right? So, why haven't I made much progress on Wave 6? Well, there are a couple of reasons.
One reason is that from late November to early December, my family and I went on a vacation to the Philippines. It was nice, but I thought I would have a LOT more time to work on the video then I ended up getting. I had very little alone time to just unwind, and on top of that, it was also FINALS WEEK around the same time. So I had to use what little time I had by myself to work on my Software Design final project, and when I finally flew back, also study for my other classes' finals as well.
But all of that was wrapped up by early December. So the biggest question is: Why have I been playing WarioWare instead of working on the Wave 6 video?
Well, a BIG reason for that is that WarioWare World Records was something I've been doing for a while. Before my Mario Kart videos, I had WarioWare GIT videos, where I did a 999 run of every stage in that game. So when WarioWare Move It came out, I felt the need to also be really good at it, too. And unfortunately, WarioWare just ended up releasing a week before Wave 6 came out. My initial plan was to just be the first person to get a 999 and then take a break from it to work on the Wave 6 video, but as you can see...that didn't end up happening.
Another reason is that ever since my trip to the Philippines ended, WarioWare Move It's just gotten a lot more competitive recently. If you haven't heard of MikeWillPlays, you should check him out, because he's a REALLY good WarioWare Move It player. He's also gotten a lot of World Records and 999s on stages I haven't gotten good at yet. And I really respect his dedication to the game, because he's amazing at it, but it also feels like I have this need to catch up to him. To the point where any time I'm not playing this game, I feel like it's just an opportunity for him to get 999 on a stage I haven't touched yet.
(Oh, uhh, Mike, if you're reading this, don't let this deter you from getting 999s! You're an amazing player and I admire your ability to get really good scores! So don't let any of this affect you lol)
Also, keep in mind that getting a 999 score takes lots of dedication, patience, and above all, TIME. A succesful 999 run is over 2 hours long, and every failed attempt at getting 999 is usually 1-2 hours long. And for me, it takes a LOT of failed attempts to get one successful attempt.
But it's not like I'm playing WarioWare 24/7 tho, so when I take breaks, I should have time to work on the Wvae 6 video...except, I don't know if you've noticed, but it's close to being Christmas! Which means more time spent on buying gifts and hanging out with family, and working on Christmas-related drawings that...have deadlines! And my Wave 6 video...doesn't have a deadline! My original plan was to have it out before Christmas, but...I don't think that's happening.
And finally, I'm human, and there are times when I need to take a break from BOTH WarioWare and drawing and just...relax. And watch anime or something. After all, it's winter break, and I can't spend all day working on things.
After Christmas, I should have a lot more time to work on the video. It kind of depends on how the WarioWare goes, but I will AIM to release the Wave 6 video before 2024 starts...(oh yeah, and the Wave 6 video won't be the last video, I'm also going to release another video some time in 2024 featuring aaaaaalllll 96 tracks)
TLDR: The Wave 6 video has been on the backburner for a while. I'll try to have it out before 2024, but no guarantees. Also it won't be my last Mario Kart 8 video.
