Teddy Soeriaatmadja launched his career in 2001 with an independent film titled Culik. Since then, he has directed twelve acclaimed films, including Banyu Biru, Ruang, Badai Pasti Berlalu, Ruma Maida, Lovely Man, Something in the Way, About a Woman, Menunggu Pagi, Affliction, Berbalas Kejam, and The Architecture of Love.
Throughout his career, Teddy has garnered numerous awards, both for his films and his skillful direction, across prestigious international film festivals. Notably, in 2012, he was nominated for Best Director at the Asian Film Awards for Lovely Man, competing alongside industry giants such as Asghar Farhadi, Tsui Hark, Zhang Yimou, Sono Sion, and Wei Te-Sheng.
