One of my fav songs to write from the Morfo 🦋 album
The player And The Fool
Was a song I wrote about someone who feels like they were set up. Like a play. I made a reference to the Tarot card The Fool which I drew sometime back around writing the song. I envisioned a theatre with red draped curtains and with a masquerade going on. When I sent the song to Tom Henry the drum groove in the chorus was there from the start of the song, but he sent it back to me with so many changes, where he stripped it back and I loved it. I enjoyed working with Tom because he heard where I was going and respected that but also just completely did what he felt would be right 💫
