for me, this song is mostly about noncommitment, and what happens when you finally sit down and take inventory about who you’ve become. it took me some time to address this in my own life because it was much easier to see this in other people that i had surrounded myself with. i was living unaware, and i’m not super proud of it but i felt like writing this song and admitting that i’m not always the victim is a step in the right direction. with that being said, heartstrings is out everywhere now ❤️
