Sadly my wildlife garden has not escaped Storm Éowyn unscathed. I grew all the plants I used for my tutorial about creating raised garden ponds in this greenhouse. Somehow the winds ripped it from its base and, after this photo, crushed it into pieces. I think I'll be waiting until tomorrow to do my RSPB Birdwatch count.

I'm back home after presenting my poster at the British Ecological Society's annual conference. For those of you interested in what research is currently going on in ecology, make sure to subscribe. My next video is going to be roughly an hour long, summarising the talks that I attended (although only parts that presenters allowed to be shared on social media) so that you can get an idea about what researchers are currently focusing on.

I'm travelling to Liverpool this week for the British Ecological Society's annual conference. If you're attending, come and say hello during my Thursday poster session. If not, I'll be making a video summarising some of the talks I attend, to share some of the most recent ecological research with you.

FeraForus name change information -> I just wanted to let you all know that I'm changing the branding on my channel to better reflect what I make videos on. I'll still be focusing on educational wildlife / nature content based in the UK, but will be changing my channel name from 'FeraForus' to 'Wildlife with Emily' and making some videos on global wildlife too. Thank you for subscribing and I hope you're looking forward to the videos I've got coming out soon.

I've been super busy with my PhD but have got some exciting videos releasing soon. One of them involves the item in this image. Do you recognise what it is? Thank you to everyone who has subscribed (both recently and a while ago). I'd like to make content most of interest to you, so please let me know if there are any nature/environment topics you're interested in hearing about. While you wait, why not check out my patreon account? I've revamped the tier rewards and am really excited to be offering personalised wildlife garden critique videos for certain tiers, which I'll be posting to youtube. www.patreon.com/feraforus

My wildlife friendly garden pond is slowly evolving. If you want to learn how to create one of these then make sure to subscribe to my channel. I'll be releasing a video soon that follows the process I went through to build this from scratch. If you have any questions about this process then now's a good time to ask them, so that I can answer them in that video for you. I can't wait to see how this pond changes over time, and the different animal species it will attract to my garden!

My latest video about herring gulls eating starfish was one of my most viewed in a while, so I thought some of you might like to see photos that didn't make it into the video. It was my first time seeing this behaviour. I'd love to hear if anyone else has seen predator-prey interactions on UK coasts.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who watches my videos, particularly those who have stuck with me over the past couple of months while I've been moving house. I've got a lot of videos lined up about the UK's nature, wildlife friendly gardening, and how you can help conservation. If there are any topics you'd like me to make a video on I'm always happy to hear suggestions. Thank you again and I look forward to seeing your thoughts about my next upload!
