As part of the giveaway on my livestream I'm also going to be offering a custom DIY band t-shirt and an aesthetic box from my etsy shop. You can find those boxes here. www.theplaguedance.etsy.com - What box would you want to see in the giveaway?

I once again wanted to thank all of you for sticking with me all these years and building our community to over 100K subscribers! I am planning a live stream but I don't want it to be just any live stream, I want to give back and say thank you to all of you. I'm currently communicating with a lot of bands, some of which you know and some of which may be new to you but they are going to be graciously donating things like CDs, vinyls and t-shirts for a big giveaway during the stream for a giveaway.

I'm also contacting other vendors of Goth merch such as jewelry, clothing, HomeGoods, makeup, artists and any other willing creator who is willing to donate to the stream. Once I work out the details, I'll schedule the stream hopefully enough in advance for you to be there. Apart from the stream, we'll get into our usual shenanigans of silly chats, me ordering food and forgetting that I ordered food and getting the crap scared out of me when they ring the doorbell - I think that's dream is still up and games!

Editing a video at the moment discussing what brought me to youtube. Some of it you know, some of it I never talked about but it's important either way because whereas our situations may vary, sometimes we all find ourselves in the same places.

Mystery Aesthetic boxes galore! Just looking at this and knowing how much I still have left really highlights either a serious issue or a ln awe inspiring talent. Have not yet decided.

My scheduled pickup today was snubbed by the USPS. It was pouring with rain so I was not leaving these outside. Precious cargo! I put in the pick up notes that gets sent to the postal employee along with a pickup order that due to the weather - ring the bell and I'll run out and help them but it looks like I will have to bring these to the post office myself. Better safe than sorry!

I'm editing 2 videos at once. One about the passing of Bruce Degan - the man behind the infamous 'Fart Berry'. If you've been with me from the beginning - you know. I kind of go into how we managed to turn his children's literary innocence into once of the most hilarious memories in my alternative crew in high school and our ingenuity and creativity that was born of a lack of tech. Oh, how we managed to use things outside of their intended purpose and made them so much funnier.

The second, it a DIY video with a big story time about band t-shirts and the goth culture behind them. What they meant to us. What they represented.

What do we think of this look? Corporate goth or goth minimalist?

I just typed out this long heartfelt thank you to all of you for your support and kindness in my last video and youtube ate it. It means so much that so many of you got to see Mike for who he truly was and was entertained by him in the same way he'd always managed to entertain us. It's still surreal that he's gone and I'm still finding myself trying to forward him funny videos and memes. Getting back to reality feels weird and there's also a sense of guilt around it. Like I'm somehow forgetting about him by doing it.

I'm finally feeling a bit better about actually sitting down for my usual content and this time around I'll be talking about our attachment to things that not only tied into our identity but how those things represented us and stood as kind of a signal to others of who we are. I want to talk about what I've observed of its existence today and how it's evolved to suit the times. It's also going to feature a DIY at the end of it to keep with the theme of identity.

I've been on a bit of a life overhaul after what happened in September and even more-so now. I've been prioritizing the things that are important to me and learning to let go of things that no longer serve me. This has taken the form of not just emotional but physical things as well. The clothing that I've acquired over the years have memories tied to them. Acquiring them was fulfilling a promise to my younger self and healing my older self as I came back from an identity crushing relationship. Selling these boxes seem to bring so many of you joy and hearing your reactions to them and knowing that they get to live a new life takes the sting out of parting with them. I have 3 boxes left until it's time to start on the other closets and then storage. The sheer amount is eye opening. It's gotta be done, tho.

Thank you to everyone that purchased aesthetic boxes! Since I have an unreasonably massive selection of clothes there's still A TON to choose from. I can actually hear a faint echo in here now after sending out the first round of boxes. The air is somehow thinner so this means progress! I get to clear some space (3 closets, storage bins in 2 of said closets, those flat storage bins that slide under the bed, 2 dressers...and maybe a storage unit), give new homes to clothes I never wear because for some reason I've had the same 10 pieces on rotation for the last 2 years and you get a handful of solid pieces in one go for cheap. I have 90s Goth, Runway Vamp, Modern Goth Minimalist, 80s Trad Goth and I've just added Whimsigoth (sometimes I had to bust out the colors for work.) Link to my shop below if you missed the aesthetic boxes the last time around. Also, more band tees to come!

Hey There Community! I have a lot of clothing that I've accumulated and it's good to rotate things rather than allow them to pile up so I've started doing aesthetic boxes in addition to my T-Shirt upcycling. (Expect a video on band tees and some DIY tips) -- So, WTF are aesthetic boxes? It's a box of 5-10 articles of clothing (actual number of items specified in the listing) in a very specific chosen aesthetic. Modern Goth Minimalist, 90s Goth, 80s OG Trad Goth, Runway Vamp Goth -- Told you it was specific. You select the aesthetic you want, communicate if you have any deal breakers like, you hate velvet or you're vegan and don't want any animal derived fibers like wool, cashmere or leathers and then I craft you a box of clothing from my personal collection based on that criteria. It's a good way for me to clear space and not be a hoarder and a good way for you to refresh your wardrobe sustainably by getting a box of staple pieces. Also, it's just really fun for me to do. Like, freakishly fun to put these boxes together. The clothes in the box is worth more than the price I've listed it. In many cases 1 thing in the box costs the same if not more than what I'm charging for the box as a whole. I'm all about being frugal. Free is better but I'll take a discount too.
