Kaitlyn Nohara is a collaborator and clarinetist with a passion for chamber and new music; she is adamant about realizing the musical visions of composers, peers, and listeners.
Kaitlyn actively performs in various ensembles across different instrumentations. In 2023, she was a runner-up in the Lamont Chamber Honors Competition, performing Valerie Coleman’s Rubispheres for woodwind trio. She also frequently collaborates with composers, premiering works by both emerging and established creators. In 2024, she won the Lamont Best Performance of a Student Composition Award. Kaitlyn is also an inductee of the Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society.
Kaitlyn is based in Denver, CO. Currently in her fourth year at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance. Her primary influences include Lynne Nakamura and Dr. Jeremy Reynolds.
