Hey family βΊοΈ As I get closer to releasing new music at the end of this week, Iβve been listening back through old records and wanted to share a few.
This cover of Rihanna's We Found Love still makes me smile. I love seeing a lot of friends in this video - Dru Decaro, Kelsey Miguel Gonzalez, RJ Kelly, Doran Danoff - folks that I havenβt always been great at staying in touch with, but that always seemed to really care about me as a human being and as an artist π funny how we donβt always remember to thank people for just being their shining selves
Also grateful to my friend Emile Kelman who has always been gracious with sharing his recording talents, his friendship, and helped record this one live in his studio, which was captured with such a vibe by Michael Adrian ...
More music to come, new and old - sending lots of love to u all, wherever u are ππ½ππΌ #lostinjapan

A decade ago singer John West was perched on a stool front and center on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA. Surrounded by the noise and chaos of this oceanside mecca of street performers, John was simply focused on his guitar. He attracted huge crowds with his soft falsetto and heavy melodies that harkened back to his southern roots in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Having busked the streets of LA for years, John soon found himself signing a major label record deal, recording with household name producers, and collaborating with famous rappers.
But something got lost along the way. Emotionally exhausted by his experiences in the music industry, John consciously decided to take a break from all the madness, start a family, and go back to school to become a therapist.
Fast-forward several years, John is a new man. Recently relocated to Japan, John is slowly finding his way back into the limelight with renewed energy and a newfound purpose.
